Our People, Governance & Capability group are now looking to welcome a Service Designer to our team.  With our commitment to our customers, it is our Service Designers who design, develop, and support the implementation of initiatives that help us achieve our vision. As a member of our Business Analysis & Service Design team you will be supported to produce new ideas, approaches and insights and offer a range of solutions. Our focus, first and foremost is on our customers.

The Service Designer role applies Service Design approaches in projects, working with customers, partners and teams to ensure we develop and implement human centered services that make a real and positive impact on the lives of our customers, and ensures our staff have the tools, capability, and systems to enable them to deliver these services and products.

The Service Designer will work with Senior Service Designers, partners, teams and projects to build confidence and embed capability in the application of Service Design and human centered approaches.

Your potential – What you will bring

  • Some experience in the application of design approaches (including human-centered design, service design, design thinking, systems thinking) through to implementation
  • Knowledge and experience within a relevant service design discipline (i.e., Systems Design, Business Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design)
  • Ability to communicate effectively and quickly
  • Ability to learn on the job and seek guidance or input from team members as needed
  • Understanding of how to conduct customer research and turn customer and business insights and data into actionable insights to inform the design and delivery business solutions that align with our strategic intent and customer and business needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and customers and confidence to lead or contribute to the facilitation of codesign workshops
  • A desire to contribute to the broader success of the team by actively engaging with our Centre of Excellence and peer review process
  • Some experience or knowledge of testing designs through an iterative testing/rapid prototyping and learning
  • Ability to work within a collaborative team that takes an insights-driven approach to developing design outcomes
  • Some experience or knowledge with concept, ideation, and iterative prototyping
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, partners and key stakeholders.
