It is an exciting time to join the Digital team here at the Ministry. Our newly established operating model is truly customer centric and service-based, driven by the need for continuous improvement and maintenance throughout the service lifecycle.

Within Digital our key service lines are:

1. Business Services: Services that are unique to specific business units2. Shared Services: Services that are common across business units, including corporate and back-office functions3. Foundation Services: Services that enable shared and business services including core IT service management

Alongside these service lines, there is a Strategic Business Partnering function comprising of Strategic Business Partners, each dedicated to a portfolio of business units, who operate at a senior strategic level.

We are currently looking for two self-motivated and experienced Service Designers to join our team in Digital. To support Foundation Services and the Strategic Business Partnering Services.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the way we work in Digital whilst delivering services to our customers.

He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience

To be successful in the role, you will have:

•    Demonstrated experience in Customer centric service design•    Experience in user experience analysis, design and testing to build customer centric services•    Ability to Influence and drive customer centric thinking•    Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships, with a wide range of stakeholders•    Technical leadership capability that enables teams to deliver customer centric solutions•    Experience in delivery of digital solutions using a range of project lifecycle methodologies•    An adaptable and agile mindset

A sound understanding of the machinery of government and experience in Te Reo Māori would be advantageous.
