Service Designer

Who we are

The Center for Advanced Technology in Health & Wellbeing of IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele (San Raffaele Scientific Institute) in Milano (Italy) is a research center whose mission is to design, develop and demonstrate the ethical, scientific, economic and technological feasibility of innovative personalized services aiming at promoting well-being and health in daily life. The Center constantly looks for outstanding creative individuals to develop and apply novel data science tools to study human mobility and health.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Service Design or equivalent work experience.

The candidate, coordinated by the project manager, and in close collaboration with the other professional figures of the project team, will be responsible for the following activities:

• Analysis of the project scenario, benchmarking of good practices and research of the supporting bibliography.
• Management of elicitation activities (quantitative and qualitative research methods), to collect user requirements.
• Management of co-design and design activities participated by users, including interviews, focus groups, field observations, etc.
• Design, visualization and development of product-service concepts through use cases.
• Definition and formalization of the user-related functional requirements of the project solution and their translation, in cooperation with field experts, in technical requirements.
• Design of physical-digital solutions, with particular reference to the aspects of process, interaction, UX and UI.
• Planning and management of the test phases and validation of the solutions implemented together with the project team.

Skills:

• Degree in Design or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge and application of the principles of User-centered design and / or Design Thinking.
• Knowledge of the proper tools of service design (e.g.: User / Customer Journey Map, Personas, System Map, Service Blueprint).
• Experience in designing and evaluating digital services UX.
• Great organizational capacity, habit of autonomous management of work times and coordination with project activities in contemporary development.
• Passion and continuous updating on the themes of technological innovation and digital domain.
• Strong propensity for problem solving and lateral thinking.
• Ability to analyze, synthesize, re-elaborate and communicate the results obtained through the research and co-design phases.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
• Excellent knowledge of visualization tools (e.g,: Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Good knowledge of the Office package and the like.
