As a Service Designer at Knowit Experience, you get to work in the world of a wide variety of different kinds of Service Design customer projects in the field of designing seamlessly functioning websites. For Service Designer in our team, this means that you have to have the capability to dive into the deep end of the pool and adapt to different working environments with different kinds of people. The tasks in this role include for example user research work, facilitating workshops, gathering data and developing processes.

Often, you will have the chance to dive into customer projects in the industry that you might have never experienced before, and therefore you have to be able to find the solutions and development ideas out of the massive amount of data and customer needs. Clarifications, conclusions and plans are something that comes to the table because of your skills in Service Design.

As said, you will work in a customer interface around versatile customer projects. You will work tightly in co-operation with our customers, project managers and developers, but this role definitely requires also the capability to work independently, but still, sharing the knowledge to others.

This role is an exciting and unique chance to experience a different kinds of Service Design challenges in different environments.

To summarize:

  • This role involves designing practical, functional and desirable digital services
  • Requires you to understand and build solutions based on our customer’s business objectives
  • Is your responsibility as Service Designer to gather and utilize business and customer insights, and to have the ability to re-frame service challenges, articulate opportunities, define strategies, create concepts and lead the development of new services and solutions from initial brief and concept to delivery
  • Combines human, business and technology viewpoints
  • It is a very good thing, if you are familiar with leading contextual user research, mapping user experiences and customer journeys as well as leading co-creation workshops, idea generation, prototyping and blueprinting service solutions
  • If your background varies from design, business or technology
  • In this role you will have the chance to work with customers, business stakeholders and staff to develop customer and business-centric concepts

Skills & Requirements to succeed in this role

To summarize, we hope you have:

  • Previous work experience in Service Design role in the field of digital services
  • Experience with service design for digital services as well as service design tools and methods
  • Ability to work fluently in Finnish and in English
  • Skills to design simple things in complex environments
  • Cooperating skills with many kinds of people
