Senior Service Designer

As a Senior Service Designer, you will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and improve digital services that meet user needs and business goals. You will get to play a key role in ensuring that the products we offer meet customer needs and provide added value to their daily work. In this role, you will apply service design methods to map experiences, identify pain points, and co-create solutions, particularly within B2B SaaS environments. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Responsibility for designing and improving the overall service experience within our product areas.
- Conducting user research and stakeholder interviews to understand needs and context.
- Creating service blueprints, journey maps, and personas.
- Applying service design methods to digital services and understanding the technical context of B2B SaaS-development.
- Facilitating workshops and co-creation sessions.
- Collaborating with product, engineering, and business teams to ensure design feasibility.
This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact in a growing company, where many design processes are currently under review for iteration and improvements. You’ll help define how we work and gradually take on broader responsibilities, potentially including ownership of global design concepts. You’ll be part of a 17-person design team and collaborate closely with stakeholders across the product organization and other teams.
We operate in a hybrid model, with preferred office locations in Espoo, Tampere, or Turku. Since most of the design team is based in Espoo, regular travel there will be expected. We also arrange most of our face-to-face customer research and collaboration activities in Espoo office.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for Senior Service Designer with a strong background in modern B2B SaaS product development with prior experience from Service Design or other similar roles with independent responsibility. For the role we are looking for someone with:
- Prior experience with service design processes, principles, methods and tools, and a proven track record of using them in the development of B2B software services.
- Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and transparently across teams.
- Effective people and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and foster open dialogue with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to conduct user and market research and translate these insights into design solutions.
- Fluent communication skills in Finnish and English (written and spoken).
- Financial Management domain knowledge is seen as a strong advantage.
