What you are going to do
Your goal is to help create digital services that are inclusive, easy to use and effective for all citizens.
You play a crucial role in shaping the digital future of the government and providing good support and services to citizens.
And that means not only thinking about the future user experience of the many online government services, but also helping to bring them to life. That is your task at iO.
Within iO, you bring your crucial expertise to our 30-person strategy team and their challenges. This team of experienced experts in service design, research, ux, change, brand and content will happily share their knowledge with you. In this way, they help you to make more impact and take a growth spurt as a strategic thinker. Incidentally, at iO we formally reserve time and budget for this in your planning.
In addition, you can also participate in the renowned expert centers , where your smart brain and that of your colleagues from the Netherlands and Scandinavia, among others, work together to develop and implement new insights and innovations within CX .
As a Service Designer at iO:
- You are responsible for researching, designing and improving the digital government services offered to citizens.
- You will work closely with various teams , including developers , policy makers and user researchers , to create a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- You will use both quantitative and qualitative research methods to understand end-user needs and translate insights into concrete and impactful concepts, customer journeys, prototypes and roadmaps .
- You combine creativity and expertise to deliver unique and qualitative results that can really impact the daily lives of Belgians.
- You will continue to monitor and evaluate the services to make continuous improvements . This includes collecting user feedback, analyzing usage data, and implementing iterative improvements.
That’s why you are the perfect Service Designer
- First experience: depending on the position, you have at least 3 or 5 years of experience in Service Design and/or User Research.
- Perspective: You bring strong analytical & empathetic skills that allow you to understand user needs like no other.
- Drive for Innovation: An innovative and user-centric mindset, with a keen eye for emerging trends in user experiences
- Aptitude for facilitating : you devise and supervise workshops and proactively make proposals to improve customer experiences.
- Passion for products : you are driven to make things that are good, and that really make an impact on the end user.
- Knowledge of tools : the usual suspects like Figma & Miro are your best friends.
- Language skills : you communicate and present strongly, both in Dutch and English. French is a plus.
