Airties is looking for a Service Designer. Reporting into the newly appointed Head of Product Marketing Strategy, you will be accountable for supporting the creation of exciting new value propositions that cater to the needs of our internet service providers around the world (B2B) and to their subscriber base (B2C).

Location: Antwerp, Belgium

What you will do

  • Build Insights by listening to customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, market shifts and new trends
  • Drive and facilitate workshops to uncover insights using design thinking methodologies
  • Create stakeholder maps, personas, user journeys, service blueprints, value maps and other artifacts
  • Design the end-to-end journey of a service, product or onboarding flow
  • Collaborate closely with our Business intelligence team to complement our quantitative insights with qualitative insights on our customers and their needs
  • Collaborate closely with the Value Proposition team to Generate Customer Value Proposition, based on insights and creating value for users while generating value for operators and Airties
  • Be the guardian of the UX of all CVPs while under development and deployment, constantly looking for improvements and new opportunities
  • Challenge and improve products and service processes by using contemporary user-centered design methodologies
  • You will be instrumental in installing a design thinking and human centered mentality within Airties by showing the way, educating stakeholders and proving the value of the approach
  • Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive environment that is respectful, open-minded, fun and effective

What you should ideally bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of Connectivity industry experience with an ideal mix of product design, UX Design, product management
  • Experience with building CVPs within the Connected Home area, using User Research and Design Thinking practices and concepts like user personas, user journey maps, experience maps, prototypes and service blueprints. Business model design experience is a plus
  • Ability to interpret evidence-based research and incorporate this into your work
  • Proven track record of developing and validating successful customer value propositions
  • Visualization skills to create wireframes, mock-ups, landing pages and other convincing artifacts
  • Experience in Internet, Insights / Analytics, Wi-Fi, broadband, Telco, cloud, digital services, smart home, SaaS hugely beneficial for this role
  • Ideal personality: positive, solution/goal-oriented, empathic listener, curious and customer centric, confident, ability to adapt and reflect, resilient
  • Comfortable with “structured chaos”: work from home, life on Teams, agile principles, highly dynamic, multi locations / time zones
  • Dynamic and engaging investigator at ease in facilitating workshops / stakeholder meetings and getting various perspectives on the issue at hand on the table
  • Ability to absorb large amounts of potentially conflicting information and use it to produce simple designs
  • Ability to link (non-technical) user needs with technological concepts (IoT, AI, chat bots, AR, etc.) that can serve as potential building blocks for CVPs
