Role Purpose
The purpose of the Service Designer role in the UNSW Innovation Accelerator Program is to conceptualize and design services that enhance the innovation ecosystem at UNSW, with a specific focus on coaching and building design capabilities within UNSW IT. This role is dedicated to delivering customer-centered solutions and involves applying design thinking and user-centered design methodologies to create impactful services. The Service Designer is responsible for guiding UNSW IT in adopting these methodologies, ensuring the services developed are effective, efficient, and aligned with UNSW’s strategic goals, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Specific accountabilities for this role include:
- Spearhead cutting-edge service solutions that propel UNSW IT’s strategic vision into reality.
- Champion innovation by leading dynamic workshops and mentorship sessions that inspire and cultivate a culture of creativity within our team.
- Engage in meaningful collaborations with stakeholders to convert their unique needs into impactful service design ventures
- Evaluate and communicate the transformative effects of service design projects on enhancing customer experiences and streamlining operations.
- Embody and uphold the core values and ethical standards of UNSW, reflecting our commitment to integrity and excellence.
- Vigilantly identify and mitigate both psychosocial and physical risks, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all endeavors under your supervision.
