Profile
As a Senior Strategic Service Designer, you will use your skills to:
- Conduct qualitative research studies to uncover latent needs and opportunities for service innovation
- Participate in concept development sessions using participatory design techniques
- Balance the capabilities and limitations of the client, their customers and technology
- Develop personas, user journeys, storyboards, flows, concepts, opportunity areas, value propositions, strategies, frameworks and prototypes
- Conduct usability testing to iterate on product concepts and prototypes
- Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams including management, product managers, engineers, marketers, vendors, legal, corporate executives and end users
- Communicate a product or service vision and articulate design decisions and trade-offs to partners and clients, both verbally and visually
- Partner with engineering to ensure designs are properly implemented
- Contribute to client capability building through knowledge sharing, training and collaboration with client teams
- Ensure that high quality research informs every deliverable
- Understand the client’s business requirements in detail; and understands how our services should be applied to solve business problems
As an Strategic Designer, you will need:
- Proven 8+ years of professional experience as a Human Centred Designer
- Theoretical and working knowledge of human-centred design, ethnography, service design, design thinking, system design and strategic design
- Experience in bringing research to life and driving insights to action, through personas, customer journeys, insight-opportunity frameworks, system maps, stories and scenarios
- Demonstrated experience creating user journeys, storyboards, flows, concepts, vignettes, opportunity areas, strategies, measurement frameworks and prototypes
- Demonstrated ability to write reports and present reports and strategies to senior stakeholders
- Exceptional communication skills and presentation skills.
- Excellent people management skills to collaborate with colleagues, client and cross-functional teams
- Passion for people, design and technology
- Must be an Australian Citizen
