Your role with us

The Service Designer supports the Experience and Innovation team to ensure we answer the why, what and how of service delivery to realise the benefits of the Boroondara Customer First transformation program.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team from digital, data and technology to create service blueprints for the purpose of diagnosing customer problems, identifying areas of the business for operational improvements, agile development and implementation of new technology over the next 5 years to modernise the design and delivery of Council services.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• • A good understanding of human-centered design thinking principals and experience working with service design methodologies to facilitate user research, prepare workshop materials and produce artefacts
  • Business analyst and consulting skills, including engaging business stakeholders to capture requirements, map processes, identify gaps and collect information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and be highly organised with attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in an agile environment, multi task and meet deadlines
  • Professional experience in user experience design, consulting or related field
