Service Designer
Talent Mavens
We are seeking the services of a number of highly skilled Service Designers that will be responsible for delivering a range of Human Centered Design activities. Applicants will be selected and placed in roles that best suit their expertise and experience.
Location of Work: Canberra, ACT
Contract Length: 6 months with extensions up to 12 months
Eligibility: MUST be Australian citizens with the ability to obtain a Baseline clearance
Key Criteria
- Experience and skills as a lead Service Design coordinator between IT, Business stakeholders and other lead service designers; OR
- Knowledge of service design and practical experience implementing the DTA’s digital service standard or equivalent; OR
- A combination of the above.
The successful applicants will work in a multi-disciplinary team and/or collaboratively across several multi-disciplinary teams with other lead Service Designers, to ensure a coordinated approach Human Centered Design activities on a number of digital products.
Activities may include, but aren’t limited to:
- Undertaking user research to build an understanding of users and their behaviour and how they will interact with the service;
- Undertaking traditional Business Analysts responsibilities to understand business needs and document requirements;
- Providing advice about the design of the end-to-end service, ensuring that it meets user and business needs;
- Creating user journey maps; and
- Designing user interfaces by developing prototypes and undertaking usability testing.
The applicants must demonstrate a deep knowledge of:
- DTA Digital Service Standard;
- Service Design;
- Agile working with a user focus;
- Agile practices & principles;
- User research methods; and
- Human Centered Design methodologies in digital ecosystems.
