About The Team
At the Content Ideas Lab, we test strategy in reality. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of pilots, experiments, collaborations and strategy implementation projects. What does that look like in practice? It might be supporting the discovery phase of a content pilot for connected cars, or working on major pan-ABC content partnerships like Your Planet or Walking Together. Or it could be looking further ahead to consider future distribution opportunities, working with personalisation and content teams to remove blockers to innovation. You will be able to apply your expertise in human-centred design to a range of creative projects, working with a dynamic, cross-disciplinary team that is excited about the future and not afraid to take risks.
About the Role
In this role, you will provide expertise and support to content makers across the business in understanding audience insights generated through human-centred-design methodologies. You will provide tools and techniques to enable the creation of innovative new content which responds to audience needs.
Working directly with content makers in a cross-disciplinary group, you will take an active lead in problem solving, ideation and the pursuit of creative excellence. This may include contextual research, co-design, prototyping, testing and feedback (with internal and external users).
About You
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Applied understanding of HCD methods, ethnographic research and ability to synthesise qualitative and quantitative data into actionable insights and effective enterprise level design tools and frameworks.
- Proven experience of working as part of a cross-disciplinary team to deliver actionable insights and artefacts that support the delivery of digital products. Experience working with content highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of current service design tools and methodologies, and digital technologies and their application to digital media and content design.
- Specialised design skills in two or more areas of digital design including visual design, interface design, user experience, interaction design etc.
- Proven ability to work in cross-disciplinary teams within an agile framework.
- High level of experience articulating complex solutions clearly to team members, and stakeholders.
- Ability to embrace ambiguity and to thrive within a multidisciplinary environment and deliver innovative outcomes, iteratively within short timeframes to the highest-standards.
