Senior Service Designer

About the role:

We’re looking for a Senior Service Designer – someone who is comfortable leading cross-functional groups with first-hand experience of crafting and bringing to life new service experiences. You’ll be joining our Service Design Team that focuses on our Commercial Customers, where you’ll play an important role in re-imagining the role we play in the lives of our Tradies and Builders, where we’re looking to be more than just a supplier.

We’re interested in hearing from an eclectic mixture of candidates, with a whole range of experiences, but are particularly interested in candidates that can demonstrate experience across the following:

• Leading pieces of Service Design work, with other Service Designers.
• Shaping pieces of work in their infancy to build out a clear scope that align with stakeholder expectations, and then iterating on that scope as the work evolves.
• Designing and executing Service Design research, where you are leading the charge and using a range of qualitative and quantitative techniques. Ideally, you are as comfortable with qual as you are with quant.
• Guiding and facilitating a range of complex stakeholders to effectively move the group towards an intended goal.
• Designing the backstage elements that are critical to sustain a front stage experience, whether that be through process redesign, introduction of new systems, organisational structure design or operating model design (to name but a few ways this could pan out).
• Designing and bringing to life new service experiences that move beyond and between more than one channel, from designing single touchpoints through to switching together a range of moments into a cohesive whole.
• Managing the changes associated a new service experience to ensure key players are playing their part and are in a position to sustain it.
• Commercial nous – you know how businesses work and actively engaged these ways of working to make commercially smart investments of time and resource.
