NSW Department of Education

The Senior Service Designer role is an integral role in a driven, compassionate, and committed team to provide human-centered services that support and guide students, and improve their learning experience.

You’ll be a passionate designer / design researcher, with an instinct to deliver great designs, solutions and research in the programs we put together for stakeholders, to help improve existing services and experience, invent new ones, and ultimately help students grow.

You must be able to plan and deliver design projects, and to collaborate with other designers, researchers, internal teams and external stakeholders. You will, with guidance from more senior team members, work with our team to build iterative and agile practices that capture insights to shape our new directorate, all with the goal of helping the department provide services that help students progress in life.

As a Senior Service Designer, you will have significant development opportunities helping us establish a new, human-centered directorate. You will have opportunities to take on real responsibility for projects and hone your craft with guidance from senior managers.

The role requires a confident, creative and friendly leader who will be able to work under pressure, collaborate with others and show initiative. The role involves the development and delivery of projects, providing advice and evidence-based solutions for stakeholders.
