An exciting opportunity exists for a Principal Service Designer on a Fixed Term basis in Information and Technology Services.
The Information Technology Services branch supports the departments business objectives ensuring responsive, transparent and sustainable delivery of ICT services and integrated business technology solutions are provided by the Corporate Alliance and other strategic partners. The branch has a clear focus on aligning technology with organisational needs and priorities. Infrastructure services to the department are managed through Victorian Government shared services provider Cenitex. ICT operations and project delivery are provided by the Department of Health, Corporate Alliance. The branch has a focus on governance and risk management and will drive engagement across multiple stakeholders to ensure our customers are actively involved in the design and monitoring of ICT services and project outcomes.
Championing the service design competency, the Principal Service Designer will lead engagement with senior BTIM and Department stakeholders in a range of business service-related activities including discovery workshops, evaluation and design of business services, identification of solution options, technology selection, benefits evaluation and continuous improvement
As a customer advocate, they will be strongly outcome-focussed, working with other BTIM units to effectively use in-house and cloud-based services to create business value from new information technology-based products and services.
Collaborating with other ICT and digital government specialists, they will work comfortably with agile approaches, user centred design, and contemporary design and prototyping tools to deliver innovative digital business solutions that provide a great user experience.
The role requires a dynamic and experienced individual with a track record of timely delivery and fit-for-purpose digital business outcomes. The successful applicant will be a self-managing individual with the ability to lead others in multiple complex, high-profile concurrent initiatives.
