The Opportunity
The Service Designer will champion whole of client needs and influences strategic priorities to enable healthAbility to become more client centred. You will be responsible for driving service design initiatives that improve the health and wellbeing of our clients and help us enable communities to enjoy better and longer lives.
By leveraging data and insights and working with consumers, internal and external stakeholders, you will identify opportunities for service improvement and any need for new services. You will apply human-centred design and innovative approaches to support a client-centred model of service design and support the implementation of services and experience that address the needs of clients and healthAbility.
If you are looking to apply your 3+ years of experience in delivering human-centred design/service design projects for medium to large organisations and want to help make a positive difference, you will thrive here. Experience working in health or human services is desirable but not essential.
You will bring
- Demonstrated experience (3+ years) leading developing and delivering human-centred design / service design projects for medium-large organisations from beginning to end (research to implementation).
- Demonstrated ability to design services to meet the needs of consumers and balance with organisational goals and objectives
- Strong understanding and application of design thinking methodologies and business analytics to identify and solve complex problems and prototyping skills to quickly visualise and test service concepts.
- Ability to create a safe space to explore new ideas that respects diverse perspectives, engenders positivity, and instils creative confidence in others.
- Familiarity with digital tools and technologies used in service design, such as design software, and collaboration platforms and MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Proficiency in developing key service design artefacts such as research reports, service blueprints, customer journey maps, personas and/or profiles etc.
- Purpose driven, and passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of others (no clinical or health background required)
