Aldar Education is currently seeking a Service Designer for an immediate start in Abu Dhabi to support our growing family of owned and operated schools in the UAE. The Service Designer supports Aldar Education in designing and documenting end-to-end processes to improve efficiency and enable digital transformation. Working with HQ and schools, the role identifies improvements and automation opportunities and designs effective service models aligned with digital initiatives. It ensures processes are clearly structured and aligned with strategy to enhance user experience across the organization.

Responsibilities
Main Duties
- Lead the design and documentation of end-to-end service processes across Aldar Education HQ and school operations.
- Partner with business stakeholders to analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and digital enablement.
- Develop clear service blueprints, process maps, and operating models to support digital transformation initiatives.
- Ensure processes are designed to be scalable, efficient, and aligned with Aldar Education’s operational and digital strategy.
- Support the implementation of digital tools by ensuring underlying business processes are clearly defined and optimized.
- Promote best practices in service design, process design, and user-centered service delivery across the organization.
Specific Duties
- Process Design & Service Mapping
Analyze existing operational workflows across departments and schools to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
Design end-to-end service journeys and operational processes for key business functions.
Develop detailed process documentation including:
Service blueprints
Process maps
Operating procedures
User journeys
RACI models where appropriate
Ensure services are designed with clear ownership, accountability, and operational governance.
- Digital Transformation Enablement
Collaborate with Digital & Technology Services teams to design processes that support digital platform implementation and automation.
Ensure business processes are structured to enable:
automation
system integration
improved data visibility
efficient service delivery
Translate business needs into structured process requirements to support digital product development.
- Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with HQ departments, school operations, and digital teams to understand operational needs and service challenges.
Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to gather insights and define service improvements.
Support business teams in adopting new processes and service models.
- Service Improvement & Operational Efficiency
Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and optimize operational practices across the organization.
Ensure services are designed with the end user in mind, including parents, students, teachers, and internal teams.
Monitor implementation outcomes and continuously refine service designs based on feedback and operational performance.
- Documentation & Governance
Establish standards and frameworks for documenting business processes and services across the organization.
Maintain a central repository of service designs and process documentation.
Ensure consistency and clarity in how operational services are structured and communicated.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Design, Service Design, Operations Management, Digital Transformation, or related field
- Certification or training in Service Design, Process Design, or Design Thinking is an advantage
Minimum Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in service design, process design, operational improvement, or digital transformation roles
- Experience designing operational workflows and service experiences within complex organizations
- Experience working alongside digital product teams or technology implementation initiatives
Job Specific Knowledge & Skills
- Strong expertise in service design methodologies and frameworks
- Experience developing service blueprints, process maps, and operating models
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder discovery sessions
- Ability to translate complex operational challenges into structured service designs
- Understanding of automation, digital platforms, and system-enabled services
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business functions
- Strong organizational and stakeholder management capability
- Experience working within transformation or digital change programs
