Senior Service Designer

We are looking for a senior service designer who can develop holistic services across systems and professional environments, conduct insight work in the early phase and contribute to smarter work processes and better user experiences. You will work closely with product management and professional resources in interdisciplinary teams, and will play a key role in the work to streamline the planning and development of the transmission network – the “highways” of the power grid.

The role of Senior Service Designer is employed in the design section in IT, and will work on a team called Model in Project. This is a role for you who thrive on complex issues, like to work exploratively and structured, and who want to influence both solutions, work methodology and the development of the design profession in a company with an important social mission.

Work tasks

Work both tactically and operationally with the development of work processes and services in close collaboration with users
Ensure that the introduction of new working methods and technology takes place together with, and on behalf of, those who will use the solutions
Conduct mapping and insight work, and translate the insights into concrete improvements
Help teams prioritize and solve the right problems
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration so that multiple teams and partners pull in the same direction
Ensure teams are working on solving the right problems
Strengthen understanding and commitment to design through, among other things, training in methods, courses and lectures

Qualifications

Senior designer with several years of experience in service design, systemic design and/or product design
Documented experience in leading and facilitating design processes from insight to implementation
Very good expertise in user-centered design methodology
Ability to visualize connections, clarify pain points and concretize opportunities
Experience from teams working with continuous product and service development
Experience with complex systems and understanding of the interaction between organization, people and technology
Comfortable with strong academic environments and big issues
Pragmatic approach to design – puts problem solving and value ahead of method when required
