Service Designer

Your new role

As a Program & Service Designer at Uniting, you’ll help shape services that genuinely respond to people’s lived experience and deliver better outcomes for communities.

You’ll lead and facilitate service design projects working alongside staff, consumers and partners to translate strategy, evidence and reform into practical, implementable service models.

Through collaborative design, systems thinking and a strong values lens, you’ll strengthen Uniting’s ability to design, improve and scale services that are person-centred, culturally safe and trauma informed.

This is a new role, presenting an opportunity to make it your own with the flexibility to work 4 to 5 days a week. It’s based in our CBD office with some travel to other Uniting locations.

Your skills and experience

You are recognised for your ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder service design work, turning insight, strategy and collaboration into workable outcomes.

You’ll also bring:

• Demonstrated experience applying service design or human-centred design approaches in community services, health or human services
• Proven ability to develop practical design outputs such as journey maps, service models, program logics or theories of change
• Strong facilitation skills, including running co-design workshops with consumers, staff, and diverse groups
• Ability to translate strategy, reform, data and evidence into clear, workable service solutions
